YET ANOTHER DAY

Well a couple days have gone by. Duty was long and boring, but what else is new. Had a pretty relaxing night last night, kinda did the fall asleep at 7 and not wake up till the next morning. That's the best thing in the world, especially after working all day. Today the line to get on base was backed up at least a mile. Had to wait 35 minutes to get on base. It was obnoxious needless to say. Had to go work with the kids who failed their physical fitness test. I run the divisions so as one of my duty's I have to go there and help out. Went to Famous Dave's BBQ tonight for the first time. It was amazing. Austin tried to eat a 2 person meal by himself and finished everything but half the fries. Poor guy, he threw up on the way back to the boat. Staying on the boat tonight, the weather is miserable and not worth walking in the rain.

I was sitting on duty today, so i decided to start a blog and really let people know what the military life is really like day to day. Starting with today, i'm on what the Navy calls the In-Port Emergency Team. Basically if anything bad were to happen that you would call your local fire department for, that's what we take care of on the ship. Gotta love the 24 hour duty.
